Fantastic Voyage Concept

My concept for the Fantastic Voyage unit is based around medieval knights and castles. This is to appeal to a younger audience and is inspired by cartoons such as Adventure Time and Ozzy and Drix. I am doing the Influenza lifecycle, which involve the virus invading cells, taking control of the cells and using them to create more Influenza viruses that repeat the process. The castles and knights now come into play. The castles would represent the cells, they would even be styled to look like cells and the knights are going to invade the castles. The knights represent the Influenza virus. They will invade one castle and take control of it. While they are in the castle the knight will shrug off his armour and use a magic crystal to create clones of himself. The clones would then go to a forge within the castle and take control of the blacksmiths there. The blacksmiths would create new armour sets for the clones who would then march out of the castle and invade other castles around the first one.

More Eskimo Concepts

These are redesigns of my Eskimo characters accompanied by an arctic fox. These characters are meant to look much more simplistic then my previous designs.

Eskimo Child: Concept

This is my 1st concept of the Eskimo Boy. I decided to draw him with his hood down for this picture because I didn't want to fall into the idea of hiding his face particularly when I was adding shadowy parts. To decide on the colour for his outfit I decided to use Google to search for Eskimo attire and based it around that. I also decided on the costume by using the feed back I got in my previous post and by using costume designs I found on Google. The biggest fear I have with this design is that he has lost a little bit of his 'cuteness'.

Character Desgin: Eskimo Child: Stage 1

Preliminary designs for my Eskimo Child. I looked at pictures of Eskimos and based my clothes designs around them however I wanted to keep a more simplistic hood for my character. I am not sure whether I should keep the face hidden or not but anyway, any feedback I get on this will lead on to my next set of designs which will be mostly a refinement.

Story Telling OG1

Story Telling OGR 1

Story Idea 2

I published this yesterday but blogger messed around and made it a draft again. So here it is today.

Story Idea 2

ACT1

A ship is sailing through some ice and as it does a postcard comes floating down off the ship. The postcard is of a sunny island, with a sun chair and a palm tree. A man sits on the chair while some children make a sandcastle in the foreground. As it lands in the snow an Eskimo child finds it and picks it up. He stares longingly at it. He wants to be in this place. He rushes back to his Igloo holding it and shows it to his mother who shakes her head at him. He gets sad and slowly walks out side.

ACT2

After he goes outside he kicks some snow over towards the sea. (he lives by the sea) He sits down in the snow and looks at the post card again. His eyes widen and suddenly he jumps up and runs to the sea shore leaving the post card in the snow. He starts trying to recreate the beach and the island out of snow. Time passes and it is evening. The boy is still on the sea front. He has created a snow sun chair. He goes and tries it out but the moment he sits on it it breaks and falls apart. Very disheartened the boy droops his head and slowly walks back to the house. His mother watches him and feels sorry for him. She goes outside and picks up the postcard and stares at it for a moment before making her way down to the beach. We fade to black.

ACT3

Morning has arrived and the mother is seen leading her child out of the Igloo. The Eskimo Child gets bought down to the seafront finds his mother has built him a mini beach out of snow – complete with a palm tree, snow castle and a snow sun chair. He is absolutely delighted. He goes and hugs his mother then runs straight for the chair. As the boy sits down in the chair and looks around he smiles. As he does the sun comes out from behind a cloud. Suddenly all the colours brighten and the scene fades out.

Story Idea 1

Quick Note: Today I found out that my Blogger has been acting strange over the last week or so and my post have been saving as drafts with nothing on them. So I am going to have to re-upload everything over the next few days.

Anyway:

Story Idea 1

Premise: An Eskimo wakes up on a beach. He looks around, confused. It is revealed that he is on a desert Island. As he looks around he notices a deck chair in the distance, in the shade of a palm tree. Suddenly he realises how hot it is in his clothes and makes his way over to the shade and the chair. He sits down and slowly falls asleep. When he wakes up he sees a person looming over him angrily. Surprised the Eskimo wakes up fully and sits up straight on the chair. The man points at the chair and then at himself and puts his hands on his hips. The Eskimo shakes his head and lays back down. The now very angry man stamps his foot and marches off.
A few moments later the man comes back with some rope and ties it to the tree. He starts to pull the tree back making the shade move from the chair. After he has pulled it back far enough he ties the tree to a post. The Eskimo, who is now in the sun gets up off the seat and looks around trying to work out where his shade has gone. As he does the man sneaks by and steals the sun chair. He puts it in the shade and settles down on it.

The Eskimo spots him and comes up with an idea. He ties the chair to the tree while the man is sleeping on it and then unties it from the post. The man wakes up as the Eskimo lets go and catapults him into the ocean. As the man gets back onto the island he sees the Eskimo fishing in a small hole that he has dug. As the man approaches the Eskimo starts tugging and his fishing rod and pulls up a large shark which swallows the man whole and falls back into the fishing pit.

Night starts to fall and the man pulls himself ashore again slowly. As he does the Eskimo can be seen on a make shift raft sailing away. The Eskimo waves to the man and the man rushes around to see the chair and the shade and finds the tree cut down (To make the raft) and the seat part of the deck chair gone (to make a sail). The man is furious and kicks the deck chair frame over.
