More Eskimo Concepts

These are redesigns of my Eskimo characters accompanied by an arctic fox. These characters are meant to look much more simplistic then my previous designs.

Eskimo Child: Concept

This is my 1st concept of the Eskimo Boy. I decided to draw him with his hood down for this picture because I didn't want to fall into the idea of hiding his face particularly when I was adding shadowy parts. To decide on the colour for his outfit I decided to use Google to search for Eskimo attire and based it around that. I also decided on the costume by using the feed back I got in my previous post and by using costume designs I found on Google. The biggest fear I have with this design is that he has lost a little bit of his 'cuteness'.

Concept Art Piece

My Concept art piece, it could use some work but for now I am quite happy that it gives an idea on layers and composition.

I re-created my final piece and have been working from that. It has been a really slow process because originally it was a variation of my original concept art and slowly as I was working from it and creating buildings in Maya based on it I tweaked it more and more and more and then it ended up looking like this.

Concept Artist 'Who's Who' Kekai Kotaki

Concept Artist Who's Who

All 3 final pieces

Interior Concept Art Piece

My final one, I decided to venture into Moriana for this particular painting and focus on an apartment in the darker more run down half of the city.

Low Angle Shot Concept Piece

So here is my Low Angle Concept Art Piece. I decided to look at more oriental design for this particular piece because I thought it would match the description of the city quite well. I do think the colours might be a bit vibrant even for my standard and despite trying to dull them down they are still pretty bright.
