MAYA!

Maya! I know I am a little behind on posting on my blog about Maya, this is because I was having some issues concerning the tutorial website and downloading the student version at home, but that is all fixed now and so here is my work so far.

These are some of the steps I took during the egg cup tutorial. This was really my 1st attempt at anything in Maya, I had never used it before except briefly in our Maya tutorial class but even then, really all I had been doing was trying to work out what different buttons meant and where they were. After the egg cups I moved on to the next tutorial that saw us making a cartoon pencil and eraser. I am yet to finish the eraser but here are some pictures of my pencil.

This was the pencil I ended up making following Alan's tutorial. I changed certain things to make the pencil feel more personal, like the tongue and the eyes.

As far as Maya is concerned, so far it isn't all that bad. Not as scary as people made it out to be and it really is quite fun as you see creations becoming a 3D reality.

  1. Hi Brem well done on getting this far, but you still have a tutorial and a half to catch up.
